Acrylic or Plexiglas (Lucite) Rhinestones are a good alternative to Swarovski Rhinestones. Although they are plastic (not glass like Swarovski) and do not have the same shine as Swarovski, acrylic rhinestones are a good choice if cost and/or lead content is a concern. You can glue these on or use the heart shaped rim sets to attach them.
